it’s been one of those days
mind conflicts what the body says
the mind tells me to wake up and stand
the body commands me to stay in dreamland
i spend precious minutes lying in bed
the upcoming hours, how will i spend
experiencing a fierce battle inside
whoever the winner is, i will abide
most times the winner is unknown
in this battle, i am alone
but whoever the victor is
