Here’s a poem I’ve created a couple of minutes ago while exchanging banters with my former classmates. This poem is a tribute for all the guys hovering over Dice. “Para sa inyo ito, bahala na kayo kung paano nyo ibibigay sa kanya :]”

upo sa isang tabi
tabi kay diana marie
upang kahit sa isang sandali
maging kapiling at mawili
di mamamalayan ang oras
na ito’y agarang lumilipas
tatabihan hanggang sa oras ng pag-uwi
upang sa pag-uwi ako’y nakangiti

Have you ever had this feeling?
It seems like you ought to do something.
But still, I can’t act all high and mighty
For a hypocrite, that would just make of me.

It pains me of what have become of us
Over the years that have passed us
Little by little we get incompetent
Sitting and doing nothing, to our heart’s content

How did we become like this?
Taking on each day with such an ease
Never pushing ourselves to the limit
To such difficult task, we never commit

I really can’t get mad at them
For I also helped create this mayhem
Seems like they have acquired the traits of a sloth
Sometimes I am that, am I not?

I guess if I really want to change things
I should wake up from this lazy bliss
I have to face the monsters within
So that I can continue on living

Constellations

I look at the vast space
And I see them going thru a phase
So many different faces
Positioned at their certain places

Each has an untold story
A story for each and everyone to see
Each possessing their own luster
That nothing can put asunder

I see them shining brightly alone
Or on clusters where faults are condoned
Every entity cohabitating
Complementing on what s missing

Alone, they produce such brightness
But as a group, beauty they possess
They all start as one and free
And end up living in harmony

No obstacle can ever hold them
Not even conflict of mayhem
With the true power they hold
Amazing stories about them are untold

There is nothing more distressing
Than to see one star dying
It’s like you can feel their pain
Or those that they leave in vain

From them, there’s so much we can see
So much we could learn
Watching them somehow makes me happy
Like those stars, companionship I yearn

From my eyes, this is what I see
Little constellations! I watch with glee
My name is The Sun and this is my story
Watching little stars in the Earth galaxy

mga pahina’y dahan dahang binubuklat
unti-unti tayong nagkakaulirat

ang mga aklat ay may iba’t ibang uri
iba’t ibang uri tugon sa ating mga sangguni
aklat para sa mga bata at matanda
para sa kahit anong edad ay mayroong gawa

nariyan ang komiks, koloring buk
mga teksbuk, workbuk o paketbuk
ito’y bahagi na ng ating buhay
sa araw-araw ating kaagapay

subalit sa mga panahon ngayon
kamakailan hanggang maglaon
mga akat ay di napagtutuunan ng pansin
kung sila’y mga bakal, siguradong kakalawangin

iilan na lamang sa atin
ang aklat ang babasahin
minsan ay masakit man malaman
ngunit ito ay ang katotohanan
