Witches’ Curses and Happily Ever Afters

If there’s one thing common in real life and in fairytales, it is the pain & joy of finding someone you would want to share your happy ever after with. As foolish as it may sound, each individual has his share of bittersweet memories that might lead you closer or might take you farther in what we call real happiness. So unpredictable, it catches you at the least moment you expect it, and the more it keeps you waiting when you want the magic to happen.

First love would knock at a young heart. One would feel the bliss that is too much to contain. This is the first time that you believed that you can handle even the toughest trials, that you can fight in whatever means just to make it last until your last breath. But, at the end of the day, you will realize that it isn’t a fairytale after all. You will have your heart broken. You will be left alone.

And there comes a knight in shining armor to save you from the pain of losing your first love. That knight will help you heal your bruised soul and scathed heart, and without even knowing, every hurt that you have once felt, has made you stronger, strong enough to make yourself love again, to fall for your knight. To protect you from anything that will cause you pain, that is what he did, but little did he imagine, he is taking you away from what you were. You are becoming an image of his imagery. And it hurts not being your self. Escape. Escape in a box of his mirror. Leave. But your heart is left with him as well.

With your heart left behind, you are ready to leave your dependency to be your own person again. Unexpectedly, a pauper asks your heart, as you have been captivated, you grant the poor pauper’s wish. The pauper had nothing. You had everything. You want to welcome him into your world, but he is afraid to be in a world too much of what he can handle. You gave him a piece of your world, the whole piece of it. Too afraid of having something too much within his reach, he drops everything off, including you. Now, you are more hapless than the pauper. With nothing left, nothing to give, and no one to turn to, you feel you just want to end it all.

I may not be one lucky girl, but I am indeed a strong princess. Between the witches’ curses and happy ever afters, every stop has my story. And every story leads me to you. I believe you are worth the wait.
